The different types of MacBooks

MacBooks are computers manufactured by Apple. MacBook’s are the world top-selling premium laptop line. Apples MacBook come in different variances. MacBooks are highly optimised because the software and hardware are both made by Apple. Apple MacBooks compete with high-end offerings from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft Surface range.

MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is currently Apple’s entry level offering that’s available. The MacBook Air is offered in 13.3 inch or 11 inch LED display. The processors can be either Intel i5 or Intel i7 with memory capacity up to 512GB. The MacBook Air has 10 to 12 hours of battery life. This laptop is one of the oldest available models. Upon release it was lauded for its thin design and portability. Now many other laptops have surpassed the MacBook Air in portability and thinness.

The MacBook is Apples 12 inch laptop. It comes with a retina display which is Apples high resolution display. The consumer has the option to choose between the m3, m5 and m7 processors. Memory capacity is available up to 512GB and the laptop offers 10 hours of battery life. This device has good reviews for its thin and light design but many reviewers had issues with it because it only offered one USB-C port. Due to this issue adapters have to be bought separately.

MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro is Apples most popular line of MacBooks. It is offered in both 13 and 15 inches. The 13 inch model comes with 2 variances. One with the touch bar and one without the touch bar. The touch bar is a design element that is a contextual toolbar on top of the keyboard and automatically changes to commands according to the specific app on screen.

The 13 inch model with no touch bar gives the consumer to choose between an Intel i5 and i7 processor and can go up to 1TB of SSD space. The device comes with Apples retina display and much improved colours from the previous MacBook Pro. Reviewers praised the laptop but stated it was too light on ports due to it offering only two USB-C ports.

The 13 inch model with the touch has all the features as the non-touch bar model but has the touch bar and 4 USB-C ports. This model was generally accepted to be better than the non-touch bar model as it gave the user more ports.

The 15 inch MacBook Pro comes with all the features available with the touch-bar 13 inch MacBook. This model is also the most expensive out of all.
